Our Roots

I started chopping wood as an after-work hobby. Like most things in life, one thing led to another.

First, I bought a splitting axe… then came the chainsaw. After splitting logs in my own backyard, I offered to cut up a dead tree in my neighbor’s woods.

That lit a fire in me—soon I wanted to take down a full tree. And that's when I discovered tree climbing as a profession—something I’d always loved and been good at as a kid.

After spending 13 years working inside, I got tired of people coming in and saying, “It’s a nice day out there.” When you’re inside, everyone talks about outside - and that’s where I wanted to be.

As I got deeper into tree work, I found myself asking: why do some trees live 200+ years while others die young? Is that something we can influence or create?

I believe we have a moral obligation to take care of trees. They’re timeless and have tons of uses. Trees provide shade, oxygen, a place to hang a swing or build a treehouse for your kids. We live with trees. They’re all around us and an integral part of our world.

That’s why I started Living Legacy Tree Care. Trees are living things—and when we care for them well, they can outlive us. Trees are something you can leave behind once you’re not here anymore to make the world a better place. That’s a legacy worth leaving behind.

Today, I love this work because it’s physically demanding, mentally engaging, and deeply rewarding. Every day brings a new challenge, and at the end of the day, I feel stronger, clearer, and more grounded than when I started.

Our Mission

At Living Legacy Tree Care, we help property owners who care deeply about their land by making their trees safer, healthier, longer-lasting, and removing hazardous or problematic trees—because we believe trees are part of the legacy we leave behind.

Our Vision

Our vision is to create safer, more beautiful properties by caring for trees with integrity, so families can enjoy their land for generations to come and leave behind a living legacy.

Our Core Values

Integrity

We do what’s best for the trees and the people who care for them—even when it's not the easiest.  We don't take shortcuts like tree topping or quick fixes. Our work is rooted in preserving the long-term health, beauty, and function of every tree we touch.

Safety

We are committed to protecting our clients, their property, and our crew. Every job is approached with caution, care, and professionalism.

Contribution

For every tree we remove, we plant one in its place. We believe in giving back to the earth and leaving it better than we found it.
